The difference between the work and activities of the animal is so simple. With this concept of work and the nature of man are, however, numerous difficulties. For Marx because man is the very essence of the material, and what is the matter in terms of Marx?

However, the word matter is in the material. Materia is the basic material. The man is so plastic-for work. Work makes man man.

We have here under similar to Hegla, but at the same time we get to an important difference:

But which determines the nature of the work?

This involves the idea of exclusion. Alienation is something clearly negative. It is the name for the exploitation of the system, which destroys human. On the one hand it is claimed that the man is plastic and plastic-only, and on the other hand, it is considered that the man has a essence, nature, because if it had no merits, it would not be of exclusion – and so the question arises:

-How is alienation?
